Stew on it.

With its unique rectangular design, this small lidded stewpot is a rare find, as larger versions of vintage French daubières are generally more common. This c. 1880 reproduction features a fitted recessed lid, hand rolled copper rivets, heavy steel handles and dovetailed seams that run down the sides and bottom of the pot (the beautiful seams were a highly prized sign of skill for a 19th-century blacksmith). We love this little pot because it’s perfect for stewing or braising in small quantities—but also because it’s rectangular! How cute is that?
