Gjelina is a collection of recipes from Travis Lett’s buzzed-about Venice Beach bistro of the same name—that rightly hasn’t stayed out of the media spotlight since it opened in 2008. The global-inspired cuisine skews vegetable and grain-heavy, with a healthy dose of restaurant-favorite pizzas and pastas. At Food52 HQ we’re tripping over ourselves with excitement to try each and every recipe in the chapter “Pickles and Condiments," which create the foundation for almost all of Lett’s dishes. From Mojo de Ajo to Smoky Tomato Butter to Pickled Turnips, our salads and sandwiches will never be deemed “run-of-the-mill” again.
