Product Details

We’re all about investing in high quality pieces that will last us several lifetimes (just check our cabinets for the battered and cherished pots handed down from our grandma’s grandma’s grandma). Add this merino wool throw to your home heirlooms and know that generations to come will be enjoying its softness and warmth. The throw, in black or bone with a matching whipstitch edge, has been an essential part of the Faribault Woolen Mill’s line for over a century. The black throw’s bold stripes (3 on either end) are in shades of grey, and the bone’s stripes are in blue, yellow, and red. You’ll love this blanket forever, and almost as much as you love naps.

Care & Notes

Dry clean or hand wash in cold water with a mild cleaning agent designed for wool. Do not use the gentle or hand wash cycle on your washing machine, as the agitation can cause the fibers to interlock. Line dry, taking care to rotate the woolen to prevent stretching. Iron only on low, only if necessary. Do not bleach.

To prevent moths, store your Faribault woolens in airtight container when not in use for extended periods. A lint brush or nylon-bristled garment brush are the most effective way to remove pills. Brush in the same direction, along the length of the woolen. Regular, gentle brushing can prevent most pilling.

The stripes on this throw complement my bright bedroom so well and provide a great pop of color. I use it while reading to stay super warm. It’s a great size too—my feet don’t pop out at the end.
