Preserve pans were designed for heating fruits and sugar when making jam, and often made in copper for its superior heat conductivity and control. This heavy gauge pan, made in England (c. 1850), features bronze handles with copper rivets for durability. The hand carved, detailed handles are attached to hand cut heart-shaped flanges, for a unique and elegant look.
