Maybe you like to smear, or perhaps slathering is more your style. Whichever you way you like to spread, these vintage French knives will keep your bread buttered (and your table looking smart). Traditionally used as fish knives (their pointy ends were used to pick out small bones, and the flat edge slid easily between the fish's flesh and its skin), you can use them as such, or in place of your regular ole butter knife.
