Keep your friends close and your olive oil even closer.
We rely on a drizzle (or a solid glug) of olive oil so often in our kitchens, we need to be able to grab-and-go at a moment’s notice. A cruet is a must-have for easy dispensing (and makes your olive oil dinner party–presentable to boot). Farmhouse Pottery’s 18-ounce cruet is hand-thrown from 100% American-mined stoneware clay—so, wonderfully durable. Plus, it's finished off in a scratch resistant milk-white glaze that's happily lead- and cadmium-free, with a bit of unfinished clay peeking out at the bottom. The stainless steel nozzle is removable for easy cleaning and has a hinged cover to keep your oil protected from the elements.

Lovely, but not as advertised
This cruet is beautiful, but what arrived is not quite as advertised. I was enthusiastic about the covered pour spout (I live in a sometimes-dusty historic building), but this now only comes with an open pour spout. This product description needs to be adjusted to convey the precise item that Food52 can actually deliver on.
No more bottle
Good looking to leave out, love the spout. Opening narrow making cleaning and refilling a challenge.
Lovely Pottery
I love Farmhouse Pottery. Some of the items I have purchased actually match some serving dishware I bought at Pottery Barn years back. I was looking for a replacement for my beloved olive oil cruet that I purchased at Dean and Delucas so many years ago.....so sad they closed. However, this olive oil cruet is actually is better than my old one; I love it!
