Round End Grain Cutting Board
+ $ shipping surcharge
This unique, round butcher block board keeps the earth in mind: The wood used in Proteak’s boards is harvested from FSC-certified plantations, and is leftover from making furniture. Endgrain (made by cutting wood against the grain, like slices of a tree trunk that expose the rings) is naturally resistant to knife scarring, and teak itself has natural oils that keep it resistant to moisture. We’re using this heavy butcher block beauty as a pizza board, cheese tray, or a countertop spot to group special oils and vinegars.

Details & Materials -
FSC-certified plantation-grown teak
18" in diameter x 2" H; Weighs 1.6 pounds
Care & Notes -
Before first use, it is recommended to season your board with USP-grade mineral oil, coconut oil, or beeswax. Oil your cutting surface once every 1-2 weeks to maintain quality and avoid bacteria and cracks. Keep teak and other hardwoods away from extreme humidity or dryness. Temperature extremes can cause the wood to swell and shrink, leading to small cracks or breaks along the grain. Hand wash only; do not soak. See more care instructions here.
