Shane Mitchell and photographer James Fisher travelled the world over to unearth some of the oldest living cooking traditions and the people who are still upholding them today. The taro farmers in Hawaii, fishermen in Kenya, gauchos in Uruguay—their lives are dedicated to their craft and Mitchell and Fisher bring that to light and to life. Each destination is accompanied by recipes, but you might not be able to tear yourself away from the people behind them long enough to get into the kitchen.
