We love the way a bunch of little succulents can instantly liven up a room (and we really love how little upkeep these drought tolerant plants need to thrive). And a whole wall of them? Consider us smitten. This DIY living wall kit comes with everything you need to show off your indoor gardening prowess: an assortment of 32 individually potted, 2-inch succulents; two 4-inch rosette succulents; and a wood and wire frame set with highly absorbent sphagnum moss that will retain all the air, water, and nutrients your little plants need. All you need to do is place the succulents in the moss frame and hang up your living work of art.

Mounting hardware is not included; the frame does not include a hanger and will need to be attached by the user. Wire cutters required for planting.

  • Made of: Cedar frame, sphagnum moss, steel wire, and greenhouse-grown succulent plants
  • Size: Frame is 14" L x 14" W x 2.75" deep. Kit includes (1) wood frame with steel wire and moss, (32) 2" assorted succulents, and (2) 4" rosette succulents.

Care & Notes

Be sure to immediately bring your package inside and completely unwrap your plants right away. All plants are packaged with shredded paper to keep them secure, dry, and warm in transit so we recommend opening the box from the bottom and carefully removing the plants. Place your plants in a location where they will be able to receive soft sun or indirect light. Succulents are drought tolerant plants that are easy to care for and require very little maintenance.

Water: Only water the plants when the soil is completely dry. If the soil has any moisture, do not water them at all. When you water your plants be sure they are being watered in the evening or late afternoon. Succulents best absorb water and nutrients from the soil during their rest period (which is in the evening). Be sure to never mist your succulents. Misting Succulents or Cacti will cause rot and/or fungal diseases. Misting succulents will kill the plant. Succulent plants need to be watered thoroughly when the soil is dry so that the water reaches the entire root system; then they need to dry out.

Sunlight: When you first receive your plants, keep them in soft sun or indirect light only and slowly introduce them to direct sunlight. Not being careful with proper sun introduction can cause the plants to sunburn. Indirect light for the first few days is ideal. The next step is typically giving them direct morning light only.

Temperature: Succulents are very tough plants but they are not indestructible. A good rule of thumb is to not allow your plants to be in temperatures below 40 degrees without protection. Succulents truly thrive between 50 degrees and 85 degrees.
