Amana Weave Fringe Throw

Show your stripes.
Consider this the quintessential easy, striped throw for tossing over the couch, curling up with on a chilly evening, or spreading at the foot of your bed. It’s woven from American-made yarn and inspired by the 160-year-old tradition of hand loomed rugs in Amana, Iowa—give it a closer look and you’ll find a small geometric pattern and extra texture featured in the finished throw, products of the special yarn technique used to weave it.

Meet the Maker
Founded in 1855, Amana began as a small community from Germany seeking religious freedom and settling in the Iowa River Valley. As a community, they aimed to live simply and sustainably– to share with one another and produce everything they needed themselves. Although the communal lifestyle of Amana disbanded in the 1930’s, the craftsmanship and tight knit community is still apparent in the high quality products Amana produces today– 160 years later.View Full Profile
