The pickle—that prized condiment at cookouts everywhere—gets an elevated makeover in the form of this trio, courtesy of the legendary Blackberry Farm in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. The set comes with a jar each of pickled okra, bread & butter pickles made with local Tennessee cucumbers, and that great Southern condiment, chow-chow—a flavorful relish of cabbage, peppers, onions, and anything that’s fresh at the time from the Blackberry Farm garden. Meet the Maker
Blackberry Farm, nestled in the Smoky Mountain foothills, received its name by chance: in 1939, Florida Lasier was exploring the area where she and her husband decided to settle when she snagged her silk stockings on a wild blackberry bramble and felt a prick of inspiration. Flash-forward to the 1970s, when Kreis and Sandy Beall worked to turn the farm into a 4,200 acre estate. Sam Beall continued his parents' legacy, and it's now known world-wide as a welcoming resort that embraces the ideals of gourmet cuisine and true Southern hospitality.View Full Profile
