Handcrafted German Music Box & Base
Sweet, sweet music.
Since 1899, the Müller Company in Seiffen, Germany has been producing handcrafted wooden collectibles, whose whimsical designs are recognized the world over. Once the holiday season rolls around, their figurines and candle holders appear on many a tabletop and mantel.
The plucky, tinny tones of music boxes are almost synonymous with nostalgia these days, the kind of sound you’d find accompanying an attic scene or fuzzy-edged memory in a movie. But these handcrafted German music boxes come with an electronic base that can be interchangeably attached to any of their intricately carved scenes to play melodic, cheery melodies. Each topper scene has a special barcode that the base reads and plays corresponding music for. (And while you’re at it, why not add to the holiday spirit with a pyramid, nutcracker, or smoker?)
Christmas Santa Box playlist includes 26 German Holiday songs.
