This shapely mouthblown crystalline glass carafe is easy on the eyes in more ways than one—pour in a bottle of wine and watch it flow with a spectacular cascading effect (kinda mesmerizing). There’s more, too: The alternating widths expose your wine to juuust the right amount of airflow as it fills the carafe, softening tannins and rounding out the wine texture and flavor for a glass everyone can cheers to.

Magisso

Burnsville, NC
A Finnish design company, Magisso took off in 2008 when Juhani and Anssi (without a stitch of design or business know-how) created a small washcloth holder that fit cleverly inside kitchen sinks. It was a smash hit. Since then, they’ve come up with a whole line of smart ways to solve everyday problems.

Not suitable for a 750ml bottle (normal size)
We ordered this carafe because it is interesting looking and stood out amongst a sea of stuffy-looking Riedel decanters. Upon opening the box we quickly noticed that this carafe, while unique looking, is much smaller than we had anticipated. Unfortunately, it barely holds a full bottle of wine....and I mean barely.... it virtually comes up to the very edge of the glass at the top and doesn't overflow because of surface tension *~*~physics~*~*. So it holds virtually exactly 750 ml and not a ml more, which makes it hard to pour if you are decanting a full bottle (and who drinks half bottles of wine, anyway?) . Alternatively you could decant half a bottle at a time, or order a pair of them to fit a whole bottle comfortably..... TL;DR - if we knew how small this carafe was we would not have ordered. 2 stars because it is still sexy and could substitute as a vase
