Meet the Maker
de Buyer
France
De Buyer’s come a long (long) way from their early 19th century beginnings when they manufactured farm tools and cookware to use on hearths (*hearths*, not stoves, mind you). Now, 200 years later, they’ve perfected their trade and their pan game. Every single piece they design comes with a thin layer of beeswax and seasons like a dream with love and time.

We eat more shellfish now!
Our local grocer puts whole live lobsters on sale for $9.99. We struggled with those silly red lobster claw shaped crackers and kitchen shears, but I knew there had to be something better. I ordered 2 of these and, once we rounded a small learning curve, no one wanted to use anything else. I ordered 4 more right away and my family of 6 each has their own. If you love shellfish and are ready to stop struggling with slippery shells, inefficient tools, and skin punctures, these are for you. Love, love Food52 and the wonderful products they offer that I can’t find anywhere else. These were a great find!
