Taking the floor.
We never knew a rug could have so much talent. Every stunner here is woven on traditional looms in the heart of Sweden, using—wait for it—PVC ribbon. Since they’re plastic through and through, they’re indoor-outdoor friendly and durable as all get-out. (And yes, they’re soft too.)
- Tough as they come: Each rug is designed to last a lifetime, and it’ll hold its color even when exposed to fierce UV rays. (It even has welded edges for extra strength.)
- Cleans up easy: Vacuum it, hose it down, or send it through the washing machine if it fits. Oh, and since it’s water resistant, it’ll dry flat within an hour.
- Nontoxic & allergy friendly: That PVC plastic it’s made from? It’s totally free of phthalates and other toxins, and it won’t hold onto dust, either.
- Sustainably minded: This one’s made in Sweden from start to finish—raw materials to finished product—so it’s cutting down on transport-related carbon emissions. Plus: It’s made to last and last.
- Happily reversible: It has that pretty pattern on both sides, so an all-new look is just a flip away.
- Made in: Sweden
- Product Warranty:
- Shipping & Returns: Free Standard Shipping on Orders $199+ and Easy-Breezy Returns

Meet the Maker
Pappelina
Sweden
When Swedish designer and Pappelina founder Lina Rickardsson began pursuing her passion for weaving, little did she know it would be the start of a booming textile business. After taking courses in Gothenburg, she started working in a small family-owned mill in Dalarna, where she discovered bright plastic ribbons once used to make rugs in the ‘70s. She gave the idea new life with a fresh tying technique, and—fast forward a few years—her plastic rugs are still made with pride in Sweden, and gracing floors the world over.
