Vintage Copper English JS&S Watering Can, c. 1880
Vintage Copper English JS&S Watering Can, c. 1880
Right from an English garden.
We’re utterly giddy imagining what flowers and plants this watering can used to give life to. A true antique find whose story began in around 1880, this vintage copper lovely was handmade by English metalsmiths Joseph Sankey & Sons. Fooled by that like-new shine? Just take a look at the spout and handles for proof—they were hand-cut and soldered in place. You’ll also find a “6PT” stamp on the underside (that’s likely a hint at how much water it holds).
Vintage copper—is there a dreamier sight? Whether it’s a gleaming tea kettle or a well-worn (but well-loved) watering can, copper lends easy, warm elegance to a home, without all the stuffiness. We’ve brought you an assortment of stunning, one-of-a-kind finds from Coppermill Kitchen to add to your collection, exclusive to our Shop (you won't find them anywhere else!).
