A Genius Labor Day Party
Every week -- often with your help -- FOOD52's Senior Editor Kristen Miglore is unearthing recipes that are nothing short of genius.
Next we'll be back with our regularly scheduled Genius Recipes, but for this week, I give you: A Genius Labor Day Party Menu! The only themes (besides each recipe's special genius flair) are 1) going big -- like, huge -- with summer flavors, and 2) crowd-pleasing. Because when people get a day off work, they really just want to eat deviled eggs and guacamole, bold salad and equally creamy pasta, and steak. And of course, cake.
A Genius Labor Day Party Menu

Al Forno's Penne with Tomato, Cream & Five Cheeses
Steven Raichlen's Salt-Crusted Beef Tenderloin Grilled in Cloth (Lomo al Trapo)
