You'll be hearing from the staff at FOOD52 every week in Too Many Cooks, our group column in which we pool our answers to questions about food, cooking, life, and more.
Haven't you heard? It's Bakeless Sweets week on Food52! So naturally, the hottest topic in our office this week was this:
What's your favorite bakeless desssert?
Are you an ice cream junkie? Or a whipped cream-and-fruit purist? Tell us in the comments! And if you need inspiration, enter to win a copy of Faith Durand's new book, Bakeless Sweets -- we're giving away five.
Merrill: Icebox cake!
Brette: Icebox cake with rainbow sprinkles!!
Michael: Coffee granita with whipped cream.
Lauren: Blueberries, sour cream, and brown sugar.
Kristen: Mine is like Lauren's. Ripe peaches, milk, and dark brown sugar is magic. I tried to turn this into an ice cream once, but it wasn't as good.
Maddy: S'mores!
Sarah S: S'mores, always.
Kenzi: Anything that involves fresh fruit and lots of whipped cream. Also this.
Christina: Hazelnut gelato -- preferably on a cobblestone street in Italy.
Sarah J: Tiramisu.
Will: Does rice pudding count?
Hannah: Banoffee pie in a glass. One for each hand is especially nice.
Merrill: I'm adding a second: Banana Pudding.
Stephanie: Nanaimo bars. Yes, I'm pulling the Canadian card again. But they really are my favorite.
Bryce: I'm on a Coeur la Creme kick. Plus strawberries or blueberries.
Amanda: Berry and basil popsicles!
Margaret: Espresso chip ice cream with a chocolate bombe shell. As chocolate-y and coffee-y as possible, please.
Amanda Li: Macadamia nut ice cream. If that doesn't count, tiramisu +1!
Jennifer: Sliced summer peaches with whipped cream and a drizzle of Grand Marnier.
Marian: When I have time, I like making raw cashew cheesecakes with berries -- except for that one time when I accidentally baked one.
Tell us: what's your favorite no-bake dessert?
