Chocolate-Date Cake with Sticky Toffee Glaze

Today: A chocolate cake that makes us want to turn on the oven and start baking, even in the middle of July.  

It's July, it's scorching hot outside, and the last thing we want to do is turn on the oven. At least, that's what we thought until we caught a glimpse of mookies's no-holds chocolate cake. One look at the thick chocolate glaze had us dreaming about cocoa powder and bittersweet chocolate. If a photo can inspire us to start baking in the middle of the summer, you can be sure it's something special.
