A Big Announcement

We’re thrilled to announce that Food52 has acquired Real Time Farms. Real Time Farms is the first crowd-sourced nationwide food guide, founded with the mission of helping people understand more about where their food comes from, no matter where they are. Over the past few years, the Real Time Farms community has gathered information about thousands of farms and farmers markets, as well as tens of thousands of photos.  

Back in July of 2012, Karl Rosaen, who founded Real Time Farms with his wife, Cara, joined Food52 as our VP Technology -- along with the rest of the core team from Real Time Farms.

For a long time now, we’ve thought of ourselves as internet soulmates, with a shared vision of community building and sustainable eating – which, of course, means inspiring people to cook more. So we thought it was time to make it official!

What does this means for Real Time Farms? The website will continue to organize information about farms, food artisans and farmers markets -- it will simply be maintained by Food52.

We couldn't be happier that Real Time Farms is now a part of Food52, and we look forward to making strides together helping people eat – and live – better.
