I am looking for a home made pasta sauce recipe that tastes like restaurant quality pasta sauce.

I usually make a homemade sauce with canned tomatoes, garlic and onion but want to try something different. Would love suggestions!

Add some ground up carrots and celery (drained) and a can of tomato paste and equal amount of red wine to what you already do.

This is a tasty, if rich, Alfredo sauce:

1 1/2 cup(s) Milk
1 1/2 cup(s) Heavy Cream
1/2 cup(s) Parmesan Cheese, grated
1/2 cup(s) Romano Cheese, grated
6 Egg yolks, fresh jumbo eggs
Salt and black pepper

I like to add a bunch of spinach, chiffonade(-ed?) and wilted.

Sorry if you were looking specifically for pomodoro/maranara sauce. Re-reading your question, I'm not sure.
