Ruthy is a recipe tester for Food52.
added 6 months agoThe US does not have a standard area specification of size to call poultry "free range"- it just means that the chickens have room to search for their vegetation to feed on, as opposed to being fed grain or meal. The EU has stricter policies, I know- such as determined areas and how food is labelled. But not here
My understanding is that most free range chickens are captured at bus terminals and airports.
