Biscuit or scones without baking powder?

I can't find mine and don't want to go to the store. Just want something to have with soup. I have heavy cream, buttermilk and baking soda, nothing turns up so far.

This happened to me once. I rolled them out extra thin, cut them into diamonds with a knife and made crackers. It's really nice if you are making a regular cheese scone recipe with an extra egg.

Irish soda bread sounds like a wonderful substitute, especially if you drop them into your soup as dumplings.
