It is a small leafed green lettuce. I can never find it around where I live. I substitute baby greens which my local grocery has year around. There is a wiki reference page on Mâché if you want to know more.

It's a green with a nutty flavor. Some similarities to arugula.

a dark green, mild flavored lettuce. Trader Joe's has it in some markets.
