A question about a recipe: Bacon Bird with Turkey Neck Gravy

20

I have a question about the recipe "Bacon Bird with Turkey Neck Gravy" from aargersi. Has anyone tried this with a butterflied bird? Any adjustments I should make other than timing? If I throw the apples in the pan under it, they should still impart some vague apple aroma, yes?

I have not tried this recipe, but I think adding the apples to the pan under the bird would definitely impart apple flavor and sounds delicious! Good luck!
