Can I substitute lemon juice for white vinegar in baking a chocolate cake?

A recipe for chocolate cake I want to make calls for white vinegar, but its impossible to get it in the country where I live. I have 'cleaning' vinegar, but I have read that its much stronger and more acidic. I read lemon juice is a possible substitute, but I'm worried it will affect the taste of the chocolate. Thanks in advance!

Yes you can. It works the same way,and you can't taste it at all, especially since it is usually such a small amount.
