When this says six servings, what is the serving size?

If you add up the ingredient amounts before cooking, they make about 12 cups. After cooking, they combine and volume is smaller.
To be on the safe side, I would make a double batch. That would give enough for generous servings and/or leftovers for home use or the freezer.
