What does macaroon-flavored mean?

I'm trying to translate a Hungarian menu item. This dessert item is: túrógombóc puszedlis tejföl. The restaurant translates it as "cottage cheese dumpling with macaroon flavored sour cream." I understand all of that except the "macaroon-flavored" What does that part mean?

Hi Cecile,

In my experience macaroons are either made with an almond or coconut base.

Cecile...look up other recipes online for turogomboc (cottage cheese dumplings).
Some flavorings I've seen are lemon, vanilla, walnuts.
See those and decide what flavors to use.
Strictly speaking, macaroon isn't a flavor. maybe they're using that word as shortcut for a typical or favorite flavor of macaroons there.
