If you made this in a bread machine (dough cycle) which includes one rise time. Would you need a second rise after it finished the cycle?

Oh, thank you SO much!
I don't have a stand mixer- I AM the stand mixer😉 I use the dough setting all the time. I have several recipes that this question applies to. I also have to adjust for altitude.

Yes, you really should. I used a bread machine for years, when my boys were little, just on the dough cycle. I didn't have a stand mixer, so it was quite handy.

After the first rise, you should remove the dough, and shape the rolls. Doing that will push much of the air out of it, while redistributing the yeast.

Letting the rolls rise the second time will produce a much nicer roll - especially given that these contain whole wheat flour, which tends to make any bread a bit more dense.

Let us know, please, how they turn out! ;o)
