Im making the New York Cheesecake. Do I use just the underheating?

In Norway we usually use both the under and over elements, but I got the feeling I should just use the underheat but now I don't know. Its in the oven.

You would use the under heating elements. In the US, we rarely use the overheating element (called the broiler) unless we were trying to brown the food.
