Ceramic serving dish instead of skillet?

Since the skillet isn't used stove top, I'm assuming it would be fine to put this in any sort of oven safe dish. Thinking nice ceramic so I can go from oven to table. Anyone tried this? (may go with bone-in thighs for this reason, too)

It depends on the ceramic baking dish you have. Most will say you should not exceed 350F, although some will say as high as 425F. You would want to check with the manufacturer of yours to see, really. The recipe has you roasting at 450F for some 45 minutes, so cast iron would be the material of choice. I get you want to go oven to table, but in this case it might not work out easily. There are some nice cast iron baking dishes out there that would be a much better idea. Maybe not as photogenic, but safer.

Yes similar thoughts.
If you use cast iron or other metal pan, you can still make it look good with sprinkled fresh herbs (Ina recommends Rosemary, or what you prefer). And maybe add garlic bread or sourdough to mop up the juices.
Enjoy!
