A question about a recipe: Creamy Cold Zucchini Basil Soup

I have a question about step 5 on the recipe "Creamy Cold Zucchini Basil Soup" from OB Cookie. It says:

"Add all ingredients to blender, blend until smooth. Add water if necessary to thin soup to desired consistency."
Do you drain the zucchini before blending or just blend it all together?

Don't drain the zucchini. The excess liquid is what will make the soup "soupy". However, it might still be a little thick, then you might want to add some water
