potato chips, lentil wafers (pappadum) .. or a raita, with cucumber or tomatoes.. Stirfried Green beans with split mung.. the traditional south Indian version is sometimes served with a spiced buttermilk gravy..
I just made coconut rice with sambal and okra, topped with cilantro and crispy shallots from Ottolenghi' s Plenty. Made a cucumber salad to offset the heat. Really yummy.
