The Best Easy Design Solutions That Make a Big Difference

Some of the most interesting things we learned about interior design this year came from seeing a good idea in action—a transparent shelf in an unexpected place, a curtain to hide the junk closet, a bike seemingly suspended by nothing more than disbelief.

And the best of those ideas weren't the fanciest—they were low-fi and adaptable to any space. Marked by a kernel of good sense and style, we spotted and stole these ideas right out of the homes of our coworkers and friends. Here are some of our favorites, the small fixes that made a huge difference in our homes and lives.
