There's not much that gets us more excited than the prospect of a good flea market. All of it: the long drive there, haggling before the sun wakes up, dusty walkways between stalls, vendors to pepper with questions (and compliments), treasures just waiting to be overturned. We're lucky that the Brimfield Antiques Fair—one of the largest flea markets anywhere—is just under three hours from New York City.
Instead of going there just to hunt for props this year, we're going to the upcoming Brimfield fall market and throwing a Food52 Lawn Party.
It's September 6th through the 11th, in Brimfield, Massachusetts—and you're invited!
If you've never been to Brimfield, the market takes over the entire town with thousands of stalls and hundreds of thousands of attendees. Thanks to our friends at the Brimfield Flea Finder App, who have swooped in to help us navigate logistics and make this thing a total blast, our lots are right in the middle of town (Central Park Field, Lots 12 to 14!), just off the main drag. So you can't miss us.
With so many people hawking and thrifting together, things can get nutty, but that's all part of the fun. As our co-founder Merrill puts it, “Brimfield is an intense—and competitive!—shopping and browsing experience. Community-building and personal touch are what we do best, and we wanted to create a haven where people could relax, have fun, and indulge in some creature comforts.”

Between bouts of treasure hunting, come see us for a break at the Food52 Lawn Party. We'll have a Food52 Vintage Trailer there, decked out in our signature style so it feels move-in ready, plus:
