Yesterday, we were at the White House to talk about today's State Dinner in celebration of Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and his wife, Mrs. Agnese Landini, of Italy. Mario Batali will be preparing the meal, cooking, as the New York Times reports, "traditional Italian dishes that have been ingrained in American cuisine.”

Our correspondents Erin McDowell and social editor Kaitlin Bray spoke with the White House's executive pastry chef, Susan Morrison, to see what she has planned for today—and spotted Batali in his signature orange Crocs. In case you missed it, here's the Facebook Live video!
