South Indian Sundal  French Poodles

Any food52 member is welcome to help us test our Editors' Pick candidates, so go call dibs on the recipe you'd like to test in the comments section below! We'd love to see some new testers in the mix. Don't forget to email us your notes (about 100 words) to [email protected] by next Tuesday at 5pm.

We'll collect your comments, decide the official list of Editors' Picks and publish your evaluation in the headnote if the recipe is selected as an Editors' Pick (with credit, of course!). And even if the recipe you test isn't chosen as an Editors' Pick, please feel free to leave your testing notes in the recipe's comments section. Constructive criticism is always encouraged!

If I can find loquat I will happily test kmartinelli's Samosas with Loquat-Onion chutney. I will report back whether or not I can find some. Congrats to all the EPs/EP candidates!
gingerroot June 17, 2011
It seems loquat had a short season here this year...we are just into mango season though - I can test k's recipe, but it will be with mango instead.
TheWimpyVegetarian June 16, 2011
Would have loved to have tested something this week but am traveling through mid-next week. Sorry! But thanks so much for the EP!!

Panfusine June 16, 2011
AWWW... missed it... no vegetarian picks left! :-(
Panfusine June 16, 2011
I've no clue where to get loquats (I'm not even sure where or what to look for)..
hardlikearmour June 16, 2011
They may be hard to find in the States, but I bet you could use a tart apple with similar results. Since most everyone will be in the same boat, I'm guessing the Editor's won't mind the substitution.
Panfusine June 16, 2011
I look forward to trying new recipes, just so that i can learn from them.. Samosas, the risk here is that its such a common snack & I'm so familiar with making them that it would be hard not to digress from the recipe with your own familiar techniques. that would not do justice to the potential EP tag
SwoonMySpoon June 16, 2011
Peking Pork Belly Tacos!
hardlikearmour June 16, 2011
Market Style Porchetta, please! I've been meaning to make it for my brother since Pierino posted it. I don't know how the editor's picked the contenders this week - there were a ridiculous number of amazing entries!
Panfusine June 16, 2011
was hoping to see thirschfelds corn recipe in the list!
hardlikearmour June 16, 2011
you can make it anyway ;)
Panfusine June 16, 2011
absolutely will, my 5 yr old LOVES grilled corn!
hardlikearmour June 16, 2011
When I was a kid one of my cousins would only eat peanut butter on toast and corn on the cob! Seems to be a universally loved food. I just need to wait until we have fresh corn around here to make it!
BlueKaleRoad June 16, 2011
