I actually don’t mind the gentle April rain. Unlike biting winter sleet or torrential summer thunderstorms, spring showers beckon to tender shoots of grass and flowers. They breathe life into dormant gardens and slowly ease the world into warmer weather. The gray, drizzly days make me feel like I have a fresh start, too—a moment to accomplish whatever cleaning or cooking or crafty project I promised myself I’d finish. I want slow, laid-back recipes to complement slow, laid-back days indoors. Because after the showers, tomorrow’s sunshine will pull me out of my home and into rainbows of flowers.
What’s your favorite thing to cook when it’s raining?
