I wish I had known about this company. I, too, would have had pieces from their kiln. I love the red glaze. With antique shops a thing of the past, I doubt that I will find any but I will look.

There are a number of pieces in the Food52 shop, including a few that were new to me that I couldn’t resist!

Huh. I have one of those covered jars--bought at the Smithsonian Festival of American Folklife, decades ago! And I've never used it. Time to run it through the dishwasher and get started, I guess!!

Dreamy! Going to go peruse Etsy's vintage French offerings for a while now...

Not a day goes by without using vintage in the kitchen, from the lunch and dinner dishes, flatware, or coffee mugs. Nothing is baked that doesn't get mixed in a vintage Federal milk glass bowl, Pyrex, or Bauer ring bowl. It brings me so much happiness to use these items on a daily basis.

It’s lovely to read this. I love using vintage kitchenware as well, absorbing their history—and lending them new meaning.

My weakness is vintage kitchenware that I use every day. Vintage Fire King dishes for dinner, with a eclectic collection of flatware to choose from. Nothing gets baked around here that isn't mixed in one of my Federal milk glass bowls, Pyrex, or Bauer ring bowl. It makes me so happy to use all these things on an everyday basis.

This is a wonderful story. It’s great that you have things you love and use on a regular basis. Why wait for a special occasion make every occasion special! Thank you so much for sharing.

I think we have a NY resolution on our hands (or at least I do haha!): don’t want for a special occasion to use the “good stuff”
