Kickstarter Love: Jem's Gardens

October  9, 2012

Each week in Kickstarter Love, Feed52 will feature a Kickstarter project that focuses on food and the community. Basically, it’s about cool people doing cool things with food. This week, a family farm wants to add homemade goods to their offerings.

Twenty years ago, a mother-daughter team started growing produce and selling it to their community at a small farm stand. They're still going strong with fruits and vegetables, but the team is ready to expand.

Shop the Story

Ellen, Jordan, and their employee Dave need help to grow their business, from increasing their seasonal yields to expanding into frozen yogurt and pies made from their own berries and orchard fruits. One day, they hope to add a greenhouse to extend the growing season and provide fresh produce to their community through as much of the year as possible.

Your support will get you homemade Ginger Bread, wildflower seeds -- even a year of homemade pies! Better than grandma's? That's for you to decide.

Dinner is ready 45 minutes after I say it will be. When in doubt, lemon juice. And always keep prosecco in the house.
