adashofbitters is a mixologist and blogger who's overseeing the bar at the soon-to-open Cook & Brown Public House in Providence, Rhode Island. He also happens to be married to beloved food52 contributor lastnightsdinner, but there's no doubt he holds his own in the kitchen. He specializes in homey recipes like Buttermilk Biscuits and Chicken Cracklins and artful cocktails like the Seelbock. His love of spirits at times spills over into boozed-up recipes like Slow Cooker Pork Belly with Braised Apples and Cabbage (in which he explains the distinction between American apple brandy and Calvados and why, in this case, the American version is better). Check out adashofbitters' profile page and fan him here.

Thanks food52 for sharing a website I probably wouldn't have found on my own. I need a cocktail education for sure!

Glutton, tonight happens to be Mixology Monday, a monthly event in the cocktail-blogging community in which bloggers submit recipes around a given theme. This month's theme is absinthe. When this month's organizer posts her round-up, I'll post up a link.

Liz, let me think of some ideas and get back to you.

I should say so! Anyone who can both create gorgeous biscuits and mix a great cocktail is definitely a keeper. ;o) Love the adashofbitters profile pic, too!
