8 Food Blog Links We Love

February 21, 2014

We've scoured the web, found our favorite food blog posts, and now we're bringing them right to your desktop. It’s hard work, but someone has to do it.

Did you stay up late every night this week watching the Olympics and House of Cards? Yeah, so did we. The result of which was a frantic, grab-what-you-can breakfast situation after pressing snooze one too many times. Make up for all of your missed breakfast opportunities this weekend with plenty of smoothies, eggs, pastries, and bacon. (Always bacon.) Just read these links first.

  • Bacon, cream cheese, and toast form the holy breakfast trinity. (Eat in My Kitchen.)
  • This Turkish dish pairs poached eggs, herbed yogurt, and chili butter -- perfect for brunch. (Lady and Pups.)
  • If you must take breakfast to-go, make these portable egg muffins. (Hortus.)

Lime CurdLight and Fluffy Gluten-Free BiscuitsBanana Bread DoughnutsBanana-Rum Scones

  • Step one: Make a big batch of lime curd. (Orangette.)
  • But save some bananas for these banana-rum scones! Save some rum, too -- it's Friday after all. (Offbeat + Inspired.)

Lime curd sounds delicious! And tahini in a smoothie? Genius.

Hi Lauren. I enjoy your work. I've been reading many of the comments throughout your posts. I think why some people have been commenting about the blog "Cooking With Mr. C." (which is one of my favorites) is because it's so "real". Yes the pictures look beautiful on some of the blogs you recommend, but so does "Cooking With Mr. C." The gentleman's blog is so relatable to most Americans. It's most of the food we buy and cook. It looks like the dishes we have in our homes. As I love Emeril, most Americans are cooking like Rachel Ray. All of my girlfriends are constantly on the lookout for blogs we can relate to. Just a thought. Belinda
