Chocolate mousse recipe calls for 1/4 c grand mariner. What can I substitute that's non alcoholic?

I would use a different liqueur such as tuaca, amaretto, pear or frangelico.

I'd go with zest and 1/4 cup juice from one orange.

I agree with HLA. Without adding a little juice your recipe might be too dry.

I would say 2 tsp orange zest if you want orange flavor, but espresso would work even if it takes the flavor in a different direction.

You would need to adjust the amount to account for the disparity in intensity of the substitute

Orange zest?

Quarter cup of orange zest?? Do you mean juice?

Oh no. Maybe one orange's worth. Make sure to rinse in under warm water and scrub it dry.
