Hi ATG117, I just wrote a reply (with a charming, folksy anecdote) but it was lost into the interweb abyss. It might show up later? Anyway I recommended looking at the Kingsford website (link below) and following the "mile-high" pie recipe but using the amount of sugar from the traditional pie recipe.
