I need a dessert recipe that is simple but feeds 30+ at a stand up party. Please no brownies!

If you want to go super easy, chocolate bars broken up into small pieces (different kinds), alongside candied ginger, clementines, and spiced/sugared nuts. People sometimes like a very simple, adjustably portioned dessert after an elaborate meal.

We have made a variation on a cheesecake. Line muffin tins with buttered phyllo, fill with some honey flavored goat cheese and bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes (keep an eye them, as I can't remember the exact time). When they're done, let them cool and drizzle with a bit of honey and sprinkle with some pomegranate seeds. Easy to eat standing up.

Mini cheesecakes are another option. Just make them in a cupcake pan. So easy to make. Here's what I used. http://www.kraftrecipes.com/recipes/philadelphia-mini-cheesecakes-143464.aspx

My go to is a fruit crumble, so easy! Just mix the fruit of juice in a combo of lemon juice, (any sweetener if you want), cinnamon and some vanilla extract. Place in buttered baking dish. Then combine oats, brown sugar, butter (or coconut oil), vanilla extract, maybe some walnuts? then pour that mixture over the fruit mixture and bake! so easy and sooo yummy with some vanilla ice cream.

One more idea: icebox cake. Here are a collection of some favorites, http://sweets.seriouseats.com/2012/05/8-icebox-cakes-recipes-we-love.html

Make 2 trifles. I have a recipe for Chocolate Trifle that can be made with homemade or storebought ingredients,

Sturdy fruit crisp w spiced Greek yogurt. Gingerbread and chunky applesauce (use cider instead of water or roast); little squares or use mini-muffin tins. An assortment of homemade truffles beside clementines and candied citrus peels. Little budini di riso (tarlets of creamy Arborio rice pudding made atop short pastry; defy requisite dusting of confectioner's sugar for stand-up party).

Parfaits in champagne glasses could be fun.

You can also make tiny sweet empanadas or truffles out of oreos.

I second the cookie plate: Ginger snaps, mint meringues, oatmeal. All small so people can take many. I also often make Palmiers (premade puff pastry if you're so inclined), and homemade whipped cream and berries. It's my easiest go to dessert, but is always a huge hit. Sometimes I reduce Kahlua for a nice sauce to go with it.

I'd maybe make an couple kinds of cookies. Or the cajeta fondue on this site would be easy and impressive, if you have some warmers.

Thanks for the great idea!
