Should I defrost my corn?

I'm making this creamed corn but we only have frozen corn. Should we defrost first? http://www.food.com/recipe...

The recipe has you cooking frozen corn kernels with cream salt sugar & pepper, so if you have kernels, no need to defrost. But if your corn is frozen on the cob, yes defrost, then cook with those flavorings.
