psyllium

How long do psyllium seed husks last? I have some from 3/13. They don't smell or taste rancid but I don't know fresh ones would be like. Plz help.

Internet consensus says the shelf life for the husks is 3 years. The whole or crushed seeds have a 6 month to 1 year shelf life depending on storage. (Best seed storage option was an opaque bottle in the refrigerator.)
