I'm making a brulee but only have a propane torch - will it produce different results from a butane torch?

I know propane burns slightly less hot than butane but I'm more interested to know if the taste should be any different if I'm using propane vs butane.

Propane torches are preferred by pros (i.e., pastry chefs). They usually use the hardware store varieties like Bernz-a-matic.
