What is the difference in flavor between hot Italian sausage and hot Sicilian sausage?

I think the Sicilian sausage is just about the same thing as the Italian sausage--ground pork with spices and a bit of red wine. there are recipes on the web and it is easy to make it on your own. Just be sure to use a fatty cut of pork!
