I just accidentally put 2 1/2 tbs of baking powder mixed with water in a crockpot full of homemade beef stew to thicken it instead of cornstarch can I save it?
Try adding in an acid (probably white vinegar to add the least flavor possible) slowly to neutralize it. If you didn't add a huge amount this could work very well. If you added a lot it could make your food overly salty, plus whatever flavor comes from acetate (from the vinegar).
